Remaja hari ini terdedah dengan pelbagai gejala sosial yang menyebabkan mereka mudah terjerumus ke dalam aktiviti kurang sihat sama ada secara langsung atau sebaliknya. Ramai di kalangan mereka menjadi mangsa penderaan, penganiayaan, pengabaian, tekanan psikologi, perkosaan, sumbang mahram dan sebagainya.

Sehubungan itu, Raudhatus Sakinah (RS) diwujudkan sebagai sebuah institusi yang memberi perlindungan dan bimbingan kepada remaja puteri yang menjadi mangsa gejala sosial ini. RS berusaha membantu remaja-remaja yang terlibat meningkatkan keyakinan dan keupayaan diri agar menjadi individu yang berguna kepada masyarakat dan agama.

RS telah beroperasi sejak Ogos 1998 di bawah pengendalian Wanita Pertubuhan Jamaah Islah Malaysia (WJIM). RS merupakan projek yang berterusan untuk membantu masyarakat menangani gejala sosial khususnya di kalangan remaja. RS telah didaftarkan secara rasminya di bawah Akta Pusat Jagaan 1993 dengan Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat.

PETRONAS, the national oil company of Malaysia, has over half a million
