The talk is intended to provide an overview of each of the selected areas with guiding principles of good practice and illustration by way of cases that went to court to show what happens when the good practice is not followed. The cases intended to be referred to will come from Malaysia and Singapore with one or two English cases.

-         Associate Professor from National University of Singapore (Department of Building, School of Design and Environment).
-          Deputy Head for Finance and Administration in the Department of Building.
-          Programme Director of the KCL-NUS MSc (Construction Law and Arbitration) programme, and teaches on the MSc (Project Management) programme.
-          Co-Editor of the Asian International Arbitration Journal.
-          Member of the Editorial Board of the International Construction Law Review.
-          Appointed Deputy President by the Minister of National Development under the Building Maintenance Strata Management Act to sit on the Strata Titles Board.
-          Work experience spans across the construction industry, the courtrooms and arbitration rooms, and the lecture theatres and seminar rooms.
 -          Co-written several books, e.g.: "Halsbury's Laws of Singapore" Volume 2 in the Building and Construction section, the "Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract: A Commentary"; and the "Construction Law Casebook" Volumes 1 and 2.
